Great sequence sent in by NT taken during Queen Mary II's visit last week. Don't worry, it all ended safely. Suggestions below please for a caption for the second photo in the sequence… ! No prizes, just for fun.

I thought it might be interesting to see which 60m+ yacht you liked most from 2007. A very generalized question, I know - just a non-scientific, fun survey.

The results are in… Alfa Nero managed to hold on to an early lead and finished top in the Monacoeye Reader's Choice Best Megayacht of 2007 Poll !!

But Kismet made up considerable ground despite a slow start and come a very honourable second. Silver, 778 and Martha Ann missed the first day of voting (!) but it was very much a two horse race. At the bottom of the table came the Lurssen twins Saint Nicolas and Martha Ann - clearly non-unique yachts are of less interest to the discerning reader than one-off builds.

Thanks to everyone who took part in out first poll - it seemed to work pretty well - despite a fair amount of suspicious voting from a certain ISP in Holland ! We'll certainly be looking to repeat the exercise soon with a different category of yacht. It'll be interesting to see if there is any predictive value to the poll.
