Another from Bob Paylor. When I first saw this photo I thought the Gallant Lady launched on 19th November 2006 had already made it across the Atlantic. But in fact it is her eponymous sistership launched in 1995. This one doesn't have portholes below the tall windows.

These cormorants (or are they shags (!) - any bird-spotters out there?) found Carinthia VII's ropes were the perfect place to sit in the sun today. The winter has been mild so far this year. In October and November the Côte d'Azur is a favourite stopping off point for migrating and less common birds.
